DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Chief, Procurement and Contract Management Division, the intern will:
1) Complete an understanding of Low Value Procurement.
2) Understand how WMO procurement works.
3) Prepare presentations.
4) Develop templates.
5) Register suppliers and keep various procurement data bases up to date.
6) Provide assistance to PCD.
7) Draft internal documents.
8) Approve POs after training.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
University degree in Law, Supply Chain/Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration or similar field.

Experience
One or two years' experience in Law, Supply Chain/Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration would be desirable, but not essential.

Other requirements
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Good drafting skills desirable.


Languages
English essential. French desirable.

(Note: The official languages of the Organization are Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.)
Possibility of renewal subject to the availability of funds and pending satisfactory performance after an initial probationary period of one year which can be extended up to a maximum of two years.
