DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Develop new material inclusive of writing articles, tweeting and populating other relevant social media platform to promote CREWS
o To include preparations supporting Alliance for the Hydromet Development and the Country Support Initiative
 Monitor CREWS presence in the media and keep track of articles written about CREWS related events
 Assists with the development of a forward-looking communications plan for CREWS
 Support the documenting of best practices across CREWS project countries and regions
 Support the participation of CREWS in the Global Platform for DRR and the Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems Conference
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Bachelor in Communication, Media, Public Relations or related field

Experience
Experience in writing, editing and producing materials for website and social media platforms
Experience with content management systems and tools (web, print and social media content development)


Other requirements
Autonomously and self-motivated
Teamwork skills
Takes initiative and is a self-learner
Ability to meet rigid deadlines


Languages
Excellent written and editing skills in English
Knowledge of a second UN language will be an advantage
