DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The consultant will carry out the following, in Portuguese with an executive summary in English :

Component 1: Conduct consultations and assessments.

Component 2: Assessing the baseline capacity requirements for the climate services value chain.

Component 3: Elaboration of the INAMET Strategic Plan (NSP) and Technical Framework for Climate Service (TFCS) action plan.

Component 4: Assessment of the socio-economic benefits of INAMET services in Angola.

Coordination: The consultant will work in coordination with a WMO Senior consultant who will provide guidance on the preparation on the NSP and contribute to the revision of documents.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Degree in applied meteorology, environmental sciences, social sciences, international relations, business management, strategic planning, or related discipline.

Experience
At least 8 years of experience in strategic planning and management and organizational change in developing countries.

Languages
Excellent knowledge of Portuguese (both oral and written).

Knowledge of English (reading/ understanding) is a clear advantage.

(Note: The official languages of the Organization are Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.)
Additional Information:
Duration: Total 85 working days from 15th December 2024 until 15 December 2025.

Pay Band: Category C

Proposed fee: to be defined, depending upon experience, knowledge, and skills.
