DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Head of the CREWS secretariat, the intern will be responsible for research and analysis contributing to three papers documenting current practices in CREWS project countries by the Implementing Partners (World Bank, WMO and UNISDR). In particular the intern will:
1. Toward the development of the CREWS Practice Compilations:
 Analyze progress reports of CREWS country and regional projects;
 Elaborate a framework to demonstrate how CREWS project activities contribute to disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and sustainable development agendas;
 Liaise with consultants in project countries that are collecting information from the field;
 Provide first-order analysis of findings;
 Contribute to the develop of the outlines and first draft of the CREWS Practice Compilations.
2. Undertake other tasks for the CREWS Secretariat as needed, such as supporting improvements to the website, contributing to the publication of reports, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Bachelor preferred

Experience
Desirable but not compulsory

Other requirements
Strong interpersonal skills and Microsoft Office

Languages
English. Knowledge of French a plus

Possibility of renewal subject to the availability of funds and pending satisfactory performance after an initial probationary period of one year which can be extended up to a maximum of two years.
