DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of DRA Project Portfolio Manager the intern will:

 Assist with the coordination and implementation of on-going and future national and regional development assistance projects, in collaboration with Project Officers and, regional offices and relevant WMO Technical Departments;
 Support the planning and organization of meetings, workshops and conferences related to projects and prepare supporting documents and presentations;
 Assist the with the preparation of documents and reports for various projects;
 Carry out or support any necessary financial and administrative functions related to main tasks activities;
 Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Applicants at the time of application must have completed or be enrolled in a university course or equivalent in international development, international business, marketing, communications, climatology, meteorology, hydrology, or a field closely related to the work of WMO.

Experience
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience for participation in the internship programme. However, any experience in project management, development cooperation or related area is an advantage.

Other requirements
Sense of responsibility, initiative, attention to detail, ability to work in a team. Good knowledge of MS Office and standard software applications. Good written and oral communication.

Languages
Excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese or Arabic would be of added value.
