DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Head of Climate Monitoring and Policy Services, the intern will be supporting literature review on climate (change) indicators and their linkage with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that
are relevant to the climate change science and climate change adaptation frameworks. In particular the intern will:
1. Produce a table showing links of climate indicators with the United Nations SDGs
2. Carry out review research on the role of Climate change indicators in informing Climate Change Policy development (regulations, environment, energy, habitat, comprehensive risk management,..). A focus on one region will be decided commonly between the intern and the supervisor.
3. Produce a report on key findings on the above
4. Participate in the organization of relevant meetings and workshops
5. Carry out any other relevant duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Bachelor in Environmental, international studies, diplomacy or equivalent. Students finishing their University Degree in one of these fields are encouraged to apply.

Experience
Not required.

Other requirements
Strong Interpersonal Skills, Good analytical skills, familiarity with modern computer Software, Internet and Office Software. Knowledge in modern Data-science and tools (e.g. Python) is desirable.

Languages
Fluent English, written and spoken. Ability to communicate in French is desirable.
