DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the various Section Chiefs of the Governance Services Department the intern will provide assistance in performing administrative tasks in support of relevant Sections’ activities, mainly related to knowledge capture, storage, and sharing. Examples of tasks are the creation of an up-to-date repository of job descriptions, the review and systematization of the Procurement archive, Trust Fund data organization and archiving, and other responsibilities mainly related to knowledge and document management. The intern may be asked to carry out other relevant duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in library science, political or social science or closely related area.

Experience
Some experience in administration, preferably in an international or multicultural context would be desirable

Other requirements
Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Good understanding with Microsoft Office applications.


Languages
Excellent knowledge of English (oral and written). Working knowledge of other WMO official languages would be an advantage.
