DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the overall guidance of the Director, Infrastructure (D/I) and the direct supervision of the Chief, Information Technology, and working closely with the Members Platform Unit (MPU) the incumbent will perform the following duties:

(a) Define cloud architecture and governance
i. Assess needs
ii. Define target architecture
iii. Define cloud services catalogue
iv. Define roles and responsibilities

(b) Implement architecture and governance
i. Implement governance
ii. Implement and consolidate existing services
iii. Implement new services
iv. Implement security and compliance

(c) Operate (Business as Usual)
i. Analyze and manage requests from users
ii. Collaborate with service owners and run design workshops
iii. Play an advisory role on various offering from cloud platform providers
iv. Deploy, configure, and manage other cloud infrastructure environment and/or applications through cross-technology administration

(d) Monitor and Audit
i. Monitor cloud resources and events to ensure compliance with policies and standards
ii. Monitor and manage costing
iii. Regularly review audit logs and recommend corrective actions

(e) Carry out other relevant duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related field, or high level experience in managing cloud environments.



Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing and operating cloud services particularly MS Azure cloud.

Other requirements
Expertise in Microsoft Power Apps and Microsoft Power Automate. Knowledge of one or more programming languages such python, powershell. Certification in Azure administration or Azure solution architecture. Knowledge of O365 including SharePoint365.

Languages
Excellent knowledge of English (both oral and written) and working knowledge of French. Knowledge of other official languages of the Organization would be an advantage.

(Note: The official languages of the Organization are Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.)
Additional Information:
TEMPORARY APPOINTMENT OF UP TO NINE MONTHS ON GENEVA LOCAL CONDITIONS. MONTHLY NET SALARY AND POST ADJUSTMENT CORRESPONDING TO UN P.3 LEVEL. Only applicants in whom WMO has a further interest will be contacted.
